Helena Lawrence’s love for animals began long before she picked up a camera. Raised on a farm in the Devon countryside, she grew up surrounded by dogs, horses and the ever-changing beauty of rural life. Those early years gave her not only a respect for animals but also an eye for the small details that make each one unique.
Over a decade ago, Helena discovered photography as the perfect way to combine her creative side with her love of animals. What started as a passion soon grew into a profession, capturing dogs, horses and the bonds they share with their people. Today she specialises in fine art photography, turning natural moments into timeless artwork that can be proudly displayed in your home.

Life shaped by animals
When Helena isn’t behind the camera she works as a dog walker in the Tamar Valley. Spending her days with a variety of breeds means she understands the quirks, personalities and challenges of working with animals of all kinds. This patience and insight translate into her photography sessions where dogs and horses quickly feel at ease in her presence.
At home, life is shared with her husband and their two dogs: Arthur, an Airedale with a stubborn streak and endless charm, and Milo, an energetic Australian Shepherd who rarely sits still. They are both constant reminders of the joy and chaos pets bring into our lives and why those moments are worth capturing.
A style inspired by the countryside
Helena’s work is deeply influenced by her countryside roots. She often photographs throughout Devon and the countryside, using natural landscapes as backdrops that complement the character of the animals she photographs.
